Our week began with a celebration of Fall as we went outside to look at nature’s color wheel and talked about what we saw…
“There’s lots
of yellow!”
“Mostly stuff is getting brown
“There’s some red leaves that are kind of purple red.”
“I found the green grass but there’s no blue… maybe if we were by the ocean.”
We collected materials to bring inside to make a leaf creation like Lois Ehlert did in her book, “Leaf Man”.
We also read a book about the buffalo and how he uses his eyes, ears, nose, feet, and fur to notice things around him. This book was written and illustrated by Kindergarten students at Tuscany School.
(Imagine
yourself at home trying to get out the door on time with 1, 2 or a few kids and
multiply that frustration by 10 for school dismissal). Please show your kiddo
how to remove their winter coat so the jacket arms do not end up inside out,
and please ask them to dress independently at home...practise is required!
Mittens should be LAST...and names need to be in EVERYTHING...
Thank you for your support!
For the love of learning,
Mrs. Webb
